Miscreants ransacked petrol pump when asked not to use cell phones

A group of about 5 to 10 miscreants created ruckus at a petrol pump at Vastral ring road at Wednesday night after they were asked to not use cell phones at the pump. Cops have lodged an FIR against unknown persons based on complaint by Vijayendra Pal, an employee of the petrol pump.

AHMEDABAD: A group of about 5 to 10 miscreants created ruckus at a petrol pump at Vastral ring road at Wednesday night after they were asked to not use cell phones at the pump. Cops have lodged an FIR against unknown persons based on complaint by Vijayendra Pal, an employee of the petrol pump.
According to Ramol police sources two persons on a bike had come to get petrol at the pump at about 11.45 pm on Wednesday night.

“However when asked not use cell phones while filling petrol, they got agitated and went away after abusing the employees” said a Ramol police official.
About 15 minutes later, they came back in group of about five to ten persons in car with iron pipes and lathis and started ransacking the pump and even thrashing the employees with lathis, said a police official. “The ruckus continued till about half an hour with miscreants breaking glass window panels of the petrol pump. The group fled after people gathered at the pump” added a police source.
Inspector of Ramol police station Paresh Solanki said that they reached the spot only to find ransacked glass windows and furniture at the pump. “We have cc tv footage of the miscreants and are hunting for them” added Inspector Solanki.
